I thought of submitting it here… The only more like realism piece, I’ve ever painted that well back then… A redo piece… Here is the link to two uglier piece did in 2003.  [link]Few years ago, I don’t know how to use ps very well.. The original sketch was in manga style… but I attempt to paint into somewhat realistic piece with ps… I loved his eyes and hair so much… yup, his hair is green.  Just wants to illustrate him like he is looking sad and miss her because she’s leaving…he hide behind a tree, looking at her from distance… he wanted her to stay but he hesitated… something like that… but I fail to bring out the expression… The eyebrow was covered so can’t see his expression so well…  Yup, I know there lots of mistakes… the tattoo is a last minute add on to make him cooler.. Don’t know why I loved to draw guys with injuries and sadness on their face so much…though never submit in DA… (Me nuts bah… )This piece was submitted in gaia last year…(also in my crappy website) Edit: (currently all my drawings is not available for viewing in Gaiaonline.. I also don’t know why..) This is what I did and use.. Sketch with pencil > scan > color in ps… Mechanical pencil 0.5 HB A4 printing paper Time taken: … seem like forever…  Reference: Ping Fan and Chen Shu Fen’s illustrations for his nose, hair and eyes.... I think? Forget…  Xiao Yao is one of my earlier fantasize original characters… belong to me…  Feel free to comments… |

I love his eye too... mmm.. And the background is pretty too!! i think despite not seeing his eyebrow you can tell he's looking at something intently with a hint of sorrow.
